About the Host:
Tabitha Safdi serves as Chief Content Officer at South Carolina ETV. She found her passion for storytelling in the 16 years spent at SCETV in creating content from concept to completion. Safdi has spent her entire professional career in public broadcasting, working in a variety of capacities from traditional broadcast documentary films to new and emerging media projects. Today, Safdi is responsible for creating and executing strategies for television, radio and digital departments, as well as programming and traffic. Safdi holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in organizational change and leadership from Columbia College. She is a Riley Fellow of Furman University’s Diversity Leadership Initiative, a 2017 graduate of Leadership Columbia and currently serves as Chair of the PBS Digital Media Advisory Council.
